wifi lights blinking in bridge mode--why?--comcast experts please answer

Hello. I set my gateway to totally disable all wifi when I set it up a couple weeks ago. Bridge mode was not enabled. I have been using an ethernet connection for my laptop and smart tv. The wired connections were working fine. None of the wifi signal lights were on, nor were they blinking. Sudd

Thanks for replying so promptly and for your input. I appreciate it. I don't claim to know who is right, but, according to another agent I subsequently spoke to at xfinity, all the ethernet ports should still be working in bridge mode---not just o
