I am having a problem with the wifi in my house. I have high speed Xfinity internet. The Internet speed for my ethernet connected device is excellent, 700mbps download. My wifi in my house varies too much. Sometimes, on my smartphone, I have to forget the network and refind it. I have reset my modem back to factory settings, same issue. I have an Arris Surfboard SVG2482ac. I contacted Arris, sent them my settings, they tell me my upstream power level is too low, and I have to contact Xfinity to have them adjust it up. My upstream power level is 41 to 42 dBmV. Arris says it should be 45 to 51, no exceptions. I contacted Xfinity, they tell me they are sending me the correct power levels. They can not check the settings on my admin settings page, as they did not provide the modem. They also told me that I could adjust the upload speed settings on the admin page, but I would have to contact the manufacturer. Is there a way to adjust the upload power settings from my end?
