These calls stink no doubt. I personally like picking up and even messing with them or see how long I can keep them on the phone for. But the spoofers will usually stay one step ahead. And with voip being what it is. It will be a never ending battle.. basically that canned response from the Comcast employee is saying. We care. (Or probably not). But we aren’t going to do anything. Contact the fcc. Which is where it all ends because the point of that essentially Is Phone providers ain’t gonna do anything until the fcc gets fed up with things and writes new rules forcing providers to start taking action. I’m talking about spoofers as that’s a different animal then ahhh “legit” robocalls. Since a spoofer can spoof any number and change their ip / carrier as well. Sadly. Spoofers will probably be around for a long while. Until forced to take action by the government. Not it’s customers. Customers have no power to do anything with behemoths like Comcast. Time warner etc. And the couple other cable companies that dominate the territory they have. These companies are legal monopolies. By their own design. Sorry for the rant. But it’s just to say. Don’t hold your breath on ever getting rid of spoofed calls. The sad part is unless it’s a master criminal. They can pretty much trace every call spoofed or not, and see where it is originating from. If someone says otherwise. They are flat out lying or don’t know how telecomm works nowadays. They for whatever reason choose not to. I’ll be just a little surprised if this post stays up. Just got lost in my rant.
