I have an unstable connection. The bandwidth is good, but I experience pretty high latency and high packet loss.
Here is some latency graph - it's really erratic.

It seems like my first hop out of my router is the cause of the issue. This issue is not always present. During mornings/late nights, things are fine.
The weird thing is, I'm in Seattle but my first hop is somewhere in the center of US. Is that necessary? :s
Xfinity customer service isn't too tech savvy and just resort to a modem reboot. Can someone else help?
