TY that did it for me too
I tried the emptying cache and cookies a dozen times and I reinstalled Google Chrome as well. Now I don't know anything about MAC's but my PC running Windows 10. Very easy fix. I was senior helpdesk tech for 15 years and deleting these files is common for resolving obscure internet woes.
Open My Computer
right click properties for drive c:
select cdisk cleanup
check every checkbox in the list
right click properties for drive c: again
select disk cleanup
select Clean up system files
check every box in list
click OK or whatever it prompts for
This fixed my Google Chrome. I had already deleted cookies and cache in the browser but that is different than temporary internet files and much more in the disk cleanup. Not sure why I had to do this twice but that did the trick so... Good luck and I hope this helps everyone out.

They claim they have an outage on the streaming service and are in the middle of updating the site
I have the same issue. Cannot stream anything from Comcast website (on any browser) - error code ftde.0001. I have cleared the cache many times, rebooted the PC and the modem may times. Same message and no streaming. Comcast (low level support) says it a browser issue.
It was working fine yesterday and for years before that. This is a new isue for me that started today. My login is fine, but streaming is broken. It seems that this has been going on for some time now. When is Comcast going to fix this?
