It is a problem all over. Don't let the knucklehead "helper" try and fool you. I have the problem on multiple computers. ethernet and wiFi. ON a router, or direct from the Arris docsis 3.0 cable modem.
Technical support is useless. And it all started after THEY upgraded the software two years ago.
The only thing I have not tried is buying a new docsis 3.1 modem. It's a toss up now since I do not have the problem on Sling, ESPN, NBCSN of any other streaming service. Something will change this week, one way or another.

It is beyond absurd. Comcast says it's an intermittant issue. That is not true. UNLESS you believe that having your xfinity streaming video freeze multiple times every day for a couple of years is an intermittant problem.
Since all the other streaming services I use are not having this problem and it even happens on my video editing workstation (Intel 5960x 8 core, 64gb RAM) that really has no software on it except for Adobe Premiere CC and browsers and no bluetooth devices, we know where the problem is.
I stream on seven (7) different computers in my house from time to time and it happens on every DARN* one of them, even if I take down the network and plug a computer, any computer, directly into the cable modem which again, DOES NOT freeze video on my other streaming services!!!!
XFINITY: Just go back to 2017 or late 2016 (I have really blocked out most of this miserable period from my brain), find the update just before people really started complaining, and figure out what you did WRONG. This not rocket science for a programmer. There is a mistake back there and you need to find and fix it soon or I am gone from your streaming service which I otherwise like very much.
Problem with Xfinity and Windows? I don't care. Problem with Xfinity and Flash? I don't care. Just a dumb coding error in your old streaming app update? I don't care. Just fix it please, for the love of god, for your own reputation, and for us individual customers, before we leave in droves.
* And by the way, Xfinity forum, spelling the word Da** with an "m" and an "n" is not "a bad word." If it was, would it really be used in the bible so often? But I "cleaned it up" as you insisted, for posting.
