I have the exact same issue!! I still have not been able to figure that one out. I only have 2 active lines on the account and 3 open spots to port in a number for a max of 5 lines. Well, I got the same error in store and rep made a ticket for follow-up phone call. I got the call the next day, and lady was nice but unhelpful. She said that if you port out a number, it stays on your record forever. Therfore, I will never be able to port in any number or start new service and i am stuck with 2 active lines and 3 "open" lines, which are occupied by "ghost" deactivated lines that are not even mine anymore. XM should be a shame of themselves! how can they make such an oversight! I am still 2 weeks out and still trying to finure this out! Have you found a solution?
