By random chance, I had read, in a different forum, that the "D" button on the XR2 remote control for the RNG 150N cable box changes the Default Audio Track (so you don't have to press the red xfinity Menu button to access the Main Menu).
So that [now] explains the problem I've been having, and if others are having the same problem, this will solve it for you.
I have had the RNG 150N cable box for only a short period of time, and I thought the box had a mind of its own, as several times, it had changed to espanol, with the Video Descriptive Service mode being activated, [seemingly] without doing anything at all on my end.
I dislike the way the XR2 remote control is designed overall, especially with the volume up/down and channel up/done rocker buttons placed inconveniently near the top of the remote control, as opposed to near or in the middle of it, where it should be.
It seems that since the "D" button is placed closely above the number "3" button, it is relatively easy to inadvertantly/accidentally press that when pressing the number "3" button and hence the box would appear to be changing the Default Audio Track and activating the Video Descriptive Service mode.
Of course, simply pressing the "D" button again turns off the Desciptive Video Service mode and returns the Default Audio Track to English. :) Case of the RNG 150N with a mind of its own SOLVED!

I hate where the volume up/down and channel up/down rocker buttons are placed on the XR2 remote that I picked up yesterday with a new Pace RNG 150N. I really liked where my previous silver remote control had those buttons placed. Seems so awkward now, right thumb presses on the left arrow or right arrow. Smaller/more compact size is better but......oh well. https://imgur.com/a/97ugz

Just wanted to share this info with everyone and especially for those knowledgeable video veterans who thought that Macrovision Copyguard protection was only applied to old pre-recorded VHS and many pre-recorded DVDs. https://imgur.com/a/Sv5pO Yesterday, I exchanged a Motorola DCT700 for a Pace RNG 150N. My sister is "old school" with technology and still uses a VHS VCR to timeshift/record programs. She claims she'll finally upgrade to a DVR when her JVC VCR konks out. Anyway, using the Pace RNG 150N, she recorded her two daytime dramas (soap operas) on CBS. Upon playback, the picture quality was severely degraded in a "cyclic" fashion as Macrovision is designed to do so, reducing the brightness level of the picture substantially and then restoring it back to normal. It was most-interesting that the copy protection that is inserted into the vertical blanking interval, (VBI) was only occurring on the network channels (CBS-2, NBC-5, ABC-7, The CW-8, WGN-9, PBS-11, WCIU-26, FOX-32, etc.) and local non-network channels. All other cable channels, including premium like HBO are unaffected. She has Preferred XF Double Play with BLAST Internet.
