I have been streaming the Xfinity app to a Roku for a couple of year with no problem. Upgraded to higher internet speed contract last week. Purchased an approved newer Arris Surfboard modem to handle the new internet speed. Installed with no problems. Didn't change router. Still using a Netgear N600.
My TV box works as does all my intenet connected devices. Roku works fine streaming Netflix, YouTube, etc. But now the Roku will not run the Xfinity Stream app. I have removed and readded the xfininty app. I have reset the Roku and reset the internet connection. When I reinstall the app on the Roku, I am directed to xfinity.com/authorize. I enter the code as shown and I end up on a screen that says:
This device can only access Xfinity Stream on your in-home Xfinity WiFi. Use the app on your smartphone, tablet or laptop to watch on the go, any time you like.
EXIT APP SIGN OUT
It doesn't matter which button I then select (EXIT APP or SIGN OUT), the Roku loops back to the sign in screen. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks
