Yes, I previously rented the Technicolor XB6 gateway. It was installed last April. In July, I purchased and installed the Arris modem and then returned the Technicolor gateway to the Xfinity store. After several service calls asking to stop rental charges, I officially got the rental cancelled on Sept. 26.
Yes, the rest of the information that I see in the Gateway Admin page looks correct. The eMTA & DOCSIS s/w version is 10.0.X.SIP.PC20.CT. The s/w image name is SVG2482_2.2P14s4_PROD_sey.
Thank you for looking into this. This forum provides a great service! I am trying to install a surveillance DVR with 4 cameras. After posting my original question, I figured out what the instruction book says: no need for port forwarding when I can set both the DVR and gateway UPnP settings to enable. After completing the installation, I will try to see if the cameras can be viewed remotely by using the current IP address. If successful, then I will subscribe to a DDNS service.

Does Xfinity require a Comcast rental modem in order to port forward? I have my own purchased Arris SVG2482AC modem installed. I log into the Arris modem and the port forwarding page says: "Managed devices and Port Forwarding pages are moved to cloud. Please use the following link to access cloud portal: internet.xfinity.com." This link takes me xfinity xFi, where it asks me to upgrade my equipment.
