TiVo/Rovi want to extract payments (blackmail) from Comcast for 'non-inventions' that the supreme court already said is not a valid patent (the Alice decision). Comcast writes their own code and is diligently spending millions to get the courts/regulators to act as quickly as possible.
How about Comcast diligently start refunding us for not providing services that they promised when we signed up for Xfinity 0ne?

Re: Can't set recordings from stream app
Count me among the IRATE that the ability to set a recording remotely has been gone for almost a year with no sign of returning. I also find it hard to believe that "few customers" used this feature, but I suppose that is plausible (would be good to know if this was a guess, or supported by data). Has anyone attempted to put together a petition in an attempt to get Comcast to pay more attention to this? I realize the patent is tied up in court, but as someone else mentioned, if Comcast truly believes the feature isn't used much, they surely are not prioritizing resolution. >:-/
Comcast continues to challenge the TiVo patents and Comcast has a good record of winning in the actual Patent appeals court in Washington, DC. A recent article https://www.multichannel.com/news/comcast-wins-battle-in-patent-war-with-tivo Comcast won a Patent invalidation against TiVo.
Try to keep up with us here. You have simply referenced the same article from five replies ago. You know, the one that shows Comcast quoted as saying "The cable operator responded by removing the feature from X1, claiming that few customers used the associated feature."
