Sj Here on 4/29/18 after another outage
Adding to my previous response RE:Utopia.net, I feel that this is as a previous poster reported as hard coded into Xfinity Gateways X3 I just went through anonter night of outage, all services, X1TV, Internet. Phone. I did not even try to reset or restart the modem? so far unless a power out of modem this Utopia.net has not surfaced. In reflection twice in 10 days now? my neighbors have been able to use my serevices at the TAP at this APT complex repedely. I have reported now 2 years plus about the issue no RESOLVE.

I have reported here about UTOPIA.NET Hijack. It just happened again on Monday when there was an outage in my area for 5 hours. The modem upon power outage, restart, reboot goes directly to UTOPIA.NET once I saw this I pulled the ethernet from my macbook
So far no issues afterMondays UTOPIA.NET resurface, I did a dns flush on the mac, and delted registry entries on my Windows laptop. UTOPIA.NET is hard coded on ce3rtain gateways. I have the TG1682G. Prior two Ciscos that were BROKEN???? anyway. If you catch it remove it and comcast's DNS server will stablize as long as you factory reset not restart or power off. That's my ten cents about it.

Tech came after I swapped box out at store told account rep of my troubles, open cable box, splitters, exposed wires, and viola neighbor #1 apt, is using my service I now see their favorite, and channel watching habits. I do npot watch NBA or BET channels etcc.
Tech came with the most lame lack of effort statement splitters are feeding into someone elses apt? Duh?
Hence shows where they feed in and whos line they access (MINE) even the phone is being used by them, they even made a service call for my service. Technician is supposed to move my line to the pole, or burty the line why do IO get excuses and hideous unprofessional service? So tech confirmend that splitters (plural) feed to other apts, left it that way, he was supposed to check my line to make sure my feed is going to my apt. he didnt just left.
TYPICAL now how many months and calls and tech apts (10) last two months still someone is on watching my cable service for free.

Yes my connection still needs your help. We were supposed to have a tech call us this weekend and come over for neighbor splitting off my service causing issues with x1 companion box downstairs...shows failed but is connected, internet speeds inconsistent. No call from Tech 3 days later.

I have an Arris TG1682G again and can disable the wifi module. But it seems whomever is attacking the modem/network keeps trying. Today I got a message while logged into 10.0.0.1 disabling the 5G wifi I use at night to Stream TV on IPad. The message said after I already logged into the admin page (use the NEW WIFI name and password to log in). I was already logged in. And now suddenly speed issues, lags...as you mentioned it is on your end. What is the time frame fro fix?

I am paranoid about this as well, I don't understand why the Wi Fi lights are actively flashing when I am not using Wi Fi???? anyone thoughts suggestions about this? I used to be able to disable wifi module to get the public hotspot hacker scum off my modem now not able to.

How are you advising to remove or prevent on Macbook, this happened to me for two weeks, prior devices Arris TG1682G then 2 Ciscos, in fact thinking of going to comcast store and swap again.

YEP and other people where I am are stealing my service getting away with it and Comcast left a ORANGE TAG at the BOX that is torn wide open for now 5 months now. Still having Ingress problems the older man that lives here is the isssue because he allows said thieves to steal from his own family.. He has some serious male insecurity going on VJO CA 94590.

Press INFO button while on the content if it can be restarted (which means the content is free, included in the free on demand movies section) hope this helps. I always use the INFO button now that I know how to.

Continuing tyo experience Heartbeat Error since 2-20-17, callled Tech support, they tried to fix but had to create ticket to escalate to Xfinity TV Online support? This is very odd never happened to me before this last week, I stream content at night on my devices in home and out of home frequently. I pay way to much for this to keep happening. I did not hear a mention of a credit for all the time I spend without streaming services I pay for? Another call to CS will be on my agenda for today, that call usually takes a good hour or more to complete for a $20 credit if that. Very disapointed in Xfinity and close to closing account.
