I recently upgraded to the Xfinity XG1-P cable box. I set the video resolution on the box to 1080p to match the supported resolution of my TV. However, I have an issue where the box resets itself to the 720p video resolution after a time of inactivity (overnight). I can reset the video resolution back to 1080p but it eventually resets to 720p. I have seen similar problems reported on this site. Is there a resolution? This was never a problem with the old cable box (which could output 1080i). The XG1-P is connected to the TV through a 4-port HDMI switch. Other inputs on the switch include an Apple TV and a Blue Ray player. I have tried numerous times to trigger the reset (e.g., switching between the 3 inputs, turning each device on/off, including the TV and HDMI switch) to no avail.
