Wanted to know if anyone has experienced this problem. I just had X1 Triple Play Service installed and the Tech couldn't get the HDMI output on the box to work for the audio portion, video works. My TV works fine with other components that use the HDMI (Blue Ray Player). To solve the problem, they just connected the cable box and ty using the component video/composite audio cable connection. I understand the the HDMI is the best quality connection for HD. The Tech tried 4 other cable boxes and 2 wouldn't load/start up initially, the 3 and 4 boxes (4 one is the one installed now) will only allow video only using the HDMI. Should I demand they find a cable box that the HDMI works 100% (Both video and audio)?
