Xfinity is aware of this issue but didn't state they were working on it.
Ran into this issue as a new customer. Daughter lives out of the area and wanted to add her to my account. Got several different answers on how to do it. One was sending her to a store where she is. Incredibly that store can't access my account because it's not in their region. That would make sense if you were talking about a TV or internet account but not a mobile account. It's not terribly inconvenient but since you have nation wide mobile coverage the stores should also work that way.
