First of all I believe this is an HDMI issue. Comcast Tier2 and Developers tech gave me a fix that actually works. Here's how: Disconnect the HDMI cable from the X1 and the TV. Then, connect component cables(red, blue and green) from the X1 to the tv, and a Digital Optical cable from the X1 to your soundbar/surround system. Find your TV component input. Then go to the X1 Device settings -> audio -> audio mode -> toggle to Surround Sound.
