You will need to check to make sure that your security settings of your router is not above what your TV is capable of producing. For example if your router is set for WPA2 security your TV may only be able to achieve WPA or WEP. There are three levels of security in order from lowes to highest beginning with WEP, then WPA, then WPA2. Without knowing the age and some more information it is hard to say if this is your situation or not. Generally if you need help you need to give as much info about all the equipment as possible.
