I have an XB6 from Comcast as well as a netgear 4 port gigabit switch since there are only 2 wired ports on the XB6 Gateway and I have 3 wired devices, 2 computer systems and a Brother Printer.
When I restart my gateway and run the xFi speed test I get 700-710 mps d/l. A couple of hours later I get 290-310 mps d/l speed. It doesn't matter what time of day or night, same thing happens.
My system has Intel i5 with a SSD main drive, purchased the latest NIC card as the system is 5 yrs old on the hope the built-in NIC on the motherboard was the problem. It wasn't, still 290-310 speeds.
I have had Comcast Techs as well as the Sr Field Engineer and all connections and lines to the pole are in spec.
My wife works from home, so calling comcast tech support durring her work hours is a no go. This is the 3rd XB6 I have had. Running Win10 with all the latest updates and Windows Security.

Any thoughts or things I can try? The speeds are the same on my wife's comupter.
Thanks in advance,

I'm sorry, I read your response incorrectly. Yes, this happens on both my wife's computer and mine and they are both hard wired.
After restarting my gateway yesterday morning, and once again getting over 700 d/l and 20 u/l on my wired connection to my computer, it is again around 134 d/l and 20 u/l on my computer that is hard wirered.

I currently have 600/20 speed package and usually get 717/20 (wired) after restarting my Xfinity wireless gateway.
Unfortunately, I start to lose that download speed (using xFi Speed test) to around 324/20. This happens daily. Currently I have to restart my wireless gateway daily to fix this problem. Problem being is my wife works from home and uses her computer on a daily basis, and when I check the speed and fine it around the 324 speed, I can't ask her to stop her work to restart the wireless gateway.
This is the second wireless gateway from Xfinity that I have had this type of slow speed problem with.
Thanks for any help,
