Ever Since Xfinity upgraded the network in my area, their local neighborhood gateway has a DHCP lease time of 80 minutes that re-IPs the public (WAN) address on the DOCSIS interface of my modem every 80 minutes. This casuses an "blip" of instability and "outage" for 30 seconds. Can someone please change this setting to something more reasonable - like at least 1-2 days or longer?!
Customer Service reps do not understand problem (like the fact Xfinity controls the WAN DHCP settings - not me.)
Does anyone know of an effective way to escalate to a network operations team - or escalate past the door techs and automated robots to someone who can actually look at regional routing devices?
