wifi log in

So my question is simple sorry to come and ask this but agants are busy. My wife thinks I added her cell phone to our home wifi. As it has never been on the network she thinks I added it to home network by logging into my account and adding the device which I did not my understand is that the only way to add a decive to the home network is to start have the device and put the netowork code. She think I put it on the home network by logging into the account and doing which is not possible. My understand is that access can only be gotten if the network key is put into the device that is trying to access the network. There is no way for me to do that from the account is there. Really need help to understand this thanks.

You need to (have her) look at her phones' WiFi settings/connection.  Turn OFF WiFi on her phone and back ON.  See what WiFi networks it sees and assuming it sees your home network SSID, select it and if prompted, enter the password to connect to the network.

Re: wifi log in

You have to look for your home network's current broadcast name (SSID) in the phone's WiFi connection dialog and connect with it there using your current WiFi password / network key.
