I have the starter internet package - 25Mbps download, 3Mbps upload.
I never get anything above 1Mbps when I test.
Recnetly I've been having multiple issues with my internet connection - its slow, its not there, upload takes forever like dialup days. It does get fixed when I get to tech support. But getting to them is no easy task - have to try after 10pm and wait for an hour or two.
What would be a better upgrade option-
performance plus (100Mbps download, cannot find upload speed)
Business starter (35Mbps download, 5Mbps upload?)
I did read that business internet has dedicated customer support. Is the wait time any better than regular cusotmer support?
Upgrading to a faster speed tier will not help if there are connection quality problems.
What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1
Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.
What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?
Is this a WiFi connection ?
Modem is Motorola SB6141
Wifi router is Netgear WNR2000V3
Total devices on wifi: 4. I've tried disconnecting and having only 1 or 2 PCs. Didn't really help.

upstream power level: 47dbmV
I get similar performance wired and wireless. Download on wired is slightly better (1-2Mbps).
A friend of mine in my area is also facing similar issues. So I agree upgrading to faster speed won't solve all my issues, but atleast the speed would be faster when it works.
Please post all of the upstream and the downstream channel's stats.
