I live in Amherst MA ( 01002) close to the college area. For the last 1 month, we have been facing intermittent issues with the internet. The internet keeps dropping and comes back after a few seconds - this happens every few minutes and multiple times a day. Each and every device on the network is unable to connect to the internet whenever this happens and this is very frustrating to use. especially in work from home situations.
We have upgraded our plans to a much faster internet plan ( Blast internet) but we keep getting the same issues and problems and this is faced by our neighbors.
We are ready for anything. Please save our internet because we are college students who attend Zoom University.
Are these all WiFi connections ? If so, for a test, does a computer / device hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
With this test, we are trying to isolate this from being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step of troubleshooting before we proceed any further.
