Xfinity Home Hotspot - Turn Off and it Turns itself Back On.
How do you keep the Xfinity Hotspot (xfinitywifi) OFF. I go to my account and shut it down only to find out that its back on a day or so later.
If I have to log into my account to turn OFF then it should stay OFF.
Question - How do I keep it off ?

Turned Off Hotspot and a day later its on again.
This seems like the beginning of a class action lawsuit which will make the lawyers rich OR you can make sure OFF means OFF. Why is this so difficult ??

OVER 2 WEEKS and the Hotspot is still turning itself back on.
Go online and make changes to may account and xfinitywifi and XFINITY is still on.
Can someone (at Xfinity or Comcast) provide answer ??
Chat and calling is a complete waste of time....

My X1 Modem is in Bridge mode and it still broadcasts XFINITY and xfinitywifi. Stupid phone keeps trying to connect to XFINITY when I have an Access Point right next to the Cable Modem.
How do you disable to the XFINITY permanently? Think it might be time to escalate this to an FTC complaint and waste Comcasts Mgmts time dealing with this issue.

Funny thing - after my last rant I set Home Hotspot OFF and its stayed off for 24hrs.
BUT this has happened before and I'm sure it will be back on after the weekend.
To ALL - If you don't use if shut if off and see if it stays off. Please let us know.
Don't mind the convienience (home hotspot) if they would allow us to OPT IN but we need to OPT OUT and they are constantly RESETTING the suppossed online configuration.

Same thing happens to me. After turning off the hoptspot, Comcast automatically turns it back on. It is ridiculous to have to keeo turning this off.

Came on here to figure out why it keeps turning on and noticed this thread. I’ve only been a customer for a week and this type of audacity really pisses me off. I will be canceling tomorrow and returning everything.
