Xfinity Gigabit - Only Getting 200down/40up

Good afternoon,

I recently upgraded my plan to the gigabit plan.  I have an SB8200 and though I have the gigabit plan, I am only getting on average between 180-200Mbps down.  This test was done while my computer was directly connected to the modem.

Any suggestions?

The plot thickens:  An agent just took me through their troubleshooting procedure.  Here are the steps and statements that were made:

  1. Him: Please unplug the modem from  power.  I am going to run a line test on my end."
  2. Him:  "Ok, please put power back on. I'm now going to run another line test"
  3. Him:  "Try it now"
  4. Me:  "Wow, i'm getting ~950Mbps now.  What did you do? "
  5. Him:  " I saw that your signal was low so I corrected it."
  6. Me:  " Ok, so should that be stable now moving forward?"
  7. Him:  "Yes."

After rebooting the modem, the problem is back so CLEARLY there is a significant issue with Comcast's backend.  Hopefully, someone here can help me get this straightened out because I can confirm, its not my side since the Agent was able to prove that.   But apparently, their fixes can't tolerate a reboot, which is disconcerting.

What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.
