XB7, MoCa not working
Trying to setup moca and it is not linking.
I live in an apartment with a coax jack in every room. We currently have only xfinity internet service, though used to have cable as well, that worked using the coax jack in each room. The XB7 is placed in the main room, as it was when we had cable, and it is connected to the single coax in that room. I have a MoCa adapter (mm1000) that I've plugged into the coax in one of the bedrooms (that used to work for cable box), and though the LAN light on the MoCa adapter lights up, the link light never will.
Anyone know how I can get this to work? Thank you!

I don't have any additional splitters in the apartment anywhere. The splitters (I presume) in the walls were the same ones used by the cable boxes previously, does that mean the splitters in the wall are fine because they were used for cable?

Not necessarily. You'll have to verify that they are MoCA compliant (5 to 1675 MHz) as I have stated or the MoCA devices will not be able to communicate with each other.
Good luck with it !
