X1 Modem - 2.4 keeps turning off while 5 works
Have had the X1 modem for 6 mo or so. No problems except the last few weeks.
2 times the internet 2.4 connection stops working. But the 5 keeps working.
Before you say change all the devices over to 5, some devices aren't capable of 5 like Playstation 4 and Ring.
Can someone help me on why this happens? Solution has been to unplug the modem then plug it back in and 2.4 works again. But not sure how long this will last until it goes out again. I say it has been a week between 2.4 outages.

so happened agian tonight. 1st time since I posted this original thread.
So what do I do? I need to get a new modem from comcast? or will that have the same problem?

no not out of range. didnt move any devices or the modem.
i know it's off because the wifi doesn't recognize the 2.4 anymore on my laptop or other devices. While it does the 5.
So would be nice to get some help from comcast here. I guess I will have to call them but sort of bad that it goes out and I have to do a hard reboot when all the kids are doing their HW, I'm doing my work, and etc.....
