Wireless printing issue

I recently had my wireless router replaced from the black X1 to white X1. since getting new router I cannot maintain connectivity to either of my wireless printer via windows or mac computers. The network shows devices on network on mac then after sending print job it shows offline. Updated firmware on both and can only get to work after reboot then print. Windws PC is not connecting to either.  Can print with usb on both or if I connect devices to my mobile hotspot for internet access. Not sure if it is a setting on the router because I can not get a call from a live person to test (although I was told I'd get a call within an hour on 8/20 that I'm still waiting for). Any help would be appreeciated.

 

Latest mac OS and windows pc is running windows 10 home with latest updates

printers are HP laser Jet  pro M252dw and cannon MX922.

The two WiFi bands have recently been combined into one with the Comcast gateway devices. Some devices get confused and don't know how to see / talk to combined bands.


If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

So I am having the same issue. I changed my printers to static IP from the web settings for the router/gateway. Go under the Connected Devices, find the printer(s) from the list, click Edit, change to a static IP. I wrote down the static IP addresses.

 

Next, in Windows, I launched a Command Prompt (type CMD in the "Type here to search" box next to the Windows icon usually in the bottom left of the screen). I ran the command tracert to the static IP address. The output gave me a long network name like this: "XSD12A86BAD6E3C8D.hsd1.mi.comcast.net". I used the copy command from the CMD icon in the top left of the screen under the Edit item on the menu.  I used that and manually setup each printer from Windows (e.g., Add printers & scanners, click to find (which it doesn't on my network now), click the printer I want wasn't listed, add printer using TCP/IP address or hostname, paste the long network name, manually configure the port, turn on SNMP, click OK, print your test page and cross your fingers).

 

I also turned-down the Firewall settings. I will add those back and hopefully it will keep working.
