Wifi speed problems!!!!!!!!

My router is, NETGEAR C6300

My Download Speed I am paying for should be: 200Mbps

What i get in a speed test is from 11mbps-23mbps, and I am doing the test at midnight when nothing is on except my laptop, what is going on, what should I do, should i have xfinity send a technician over? I cant even watch a youtube video because it buffers.

To start with, for a test, does a computer hardwired directly to the Netgear C6300 with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?

If your using WiFi you will need to see if your connected to 5ghz or 2.4ghz if your using one network that meshes both together the modem will push your old laptop to 2.4ghz hence the slow speeds. You’ll need to see if your laptop is capable of 5ghz connection then connect to that one thru your modem by separating the signals thru xFi app. Some laptops are older and dont support 5ghz signal.
