Wifi keeps dropping since start of year

My wifi has been acting up since the beginning of the year. Everything started pretty much at the end of 2019 my wifi was going out every few minutes and it was annoying I thought it was the modem going bad. So I decided to change it to the xfi advance. It was good for about a week or 2. Then same thing. It happen for 1 whole week, then it stayed normal for 1 month and it started to go out again. Its been the same routine since then. 2 technicians have come to my house. One just changed the splitters and adjust them. The other one changed a cable that goes to and outside splitter. Nothing has solved the problem. Ive been charged for those 2 times. I chat with agents and all of them do the same procedure reset it. They said they scaled my case up and i should get a call but I never received one. At this point am thinking of changing service if this isn’t solved. (While writing this post my wifi went out twice)

For a test, does a computer hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?

With this test, we are trying to isolate this from being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both, see ? It's a good first step of troubleshooting before we proceed any further.

Please also post any modem RF error / event log entries.

O/k, they disabled the modem component's RF error logging feature in the Comcast supplied gateway devices.... A BIG mistake IMNSHO !!!! Those router component event log entries are unhelpful, unfortunately...

Have you tried doing that test ?

Some tips for improving WiFi performance;

http://corporate.comcast.com/comcast-voices/10-ways-you-might-be-killing-your-home-wi-fi-signal

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods, powerline ethernet adapters, MoCA adapters. Good luck.

Something i did notice was outside my house the cable pedestal where other houses are also connected is open. I dont know how long but the pedestal is in front of a neighbors’s house. And the pedestal is open and the internet cables exposed. Could that affect our wifi?

This issue has been posted so many times in the xfinity forums, for a very long time,  without any resolution or even a response respons from comcast. I too am having the same problem. I also see that comcast forum "experts" close these posts for being open a long time. Here's a thought...how about if the "comcast experts" actively work trying to get a response from Comcast to address this issue or finding someone who can, instead of trolling and closing the posts?
