Upgrade to 200MB download did not work for me....
I've gotten e-mail from Comcast patting themselves on the back for upgrading my speed from 150Mbps download to 200. Prior to this "upgrade," I was able to get 180Mbps consistently. Now, I can barely get 50Mbps. So this "upgrade" cost me some 130Mbps in speed, for the same price.
Comcast can keep it's upgrade to 200. I just want to go back to 180Mbps. Can this be done? I'm asking here before I call in and have one "tech" after another reboot my modem for me, something I've done numerous times. (I wish there was some way to bypass those initial levels of support to actually get to the people that know networking. Even when I tell them I've done all the basics, and am a networking professional myself, they insist that they still have to do it again before going to the next level. So I suffer.)

If you are using wifi, check that you are using 5g band, your download speed is roughly in the ballpark for being connected to the 2.4g band

Try calling 1-800-comcast and ask a rep to completely remove the modem from your account and to "re-provision" it from scratch. Also ask them to confirm that the provisioning and account data in their database is correct and complete and that the correct configuration / bootfile for your subscribed to speed tier is being pushed to the modem.

Hello, JohnJLewis! I know it has been some time since you created this thread, but I wanted to check in quickly to see if you were able to get this speed issue resolved or if you were still in need of some assistance?
