Unable to connect to game server on network.
I have set up port forwarding for Minecraft and Ark: Survival Evolved within my XB6 gateway but for some reason, it is not forwarding these ports to the system I want them to go to. I have verified that the IP address is valid, after switching it from a static internal IP to a DHCP address, and that it is showing as a connected device. I am able to do a raw connection to the port from an internal computer using a telnet client but whenever I try to use my games, it will not connect.
I am trying to get this set up so that my family can all play on these 2 game servers and not have to purchase an outside game server since I have the equipment to do this within my home lab. I work within IT so I have gone through an extensive amount of troubleshooting this issue already but I have never set up these types of game servers before. Any help would be appreciated.
