Two gateways on same cable

I have a Moto SBG6580 gateway connected to my Tower/PC and works great.  However, when I go to an extended part of the house to use a wireless tablet, the wifi signal is dismal.

Have a second Moto SBG6580 Gateway.  Can I connect it the coax in the other room for better wifi?  I've tried the wifi "range extenders" - that don't work that well.  Anyone know how to configure the second gateway for wifi in another part of the house?

Many systems will not allow two modems to be used at one address. It's best to call in to see what the local policy is. Even if they do allow it you will need to pay for two accounts (twice what you are paying for HSI now).

Some tips for improving WiFi performance;

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods.
