I bought my own modem/router and then I got internet through xfinity. It says my services have been activated but when I try to connect to my router nothing will load and it says I have no internet connection. If someone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

What make/model modem/router do you have? Is the router built in to the modem device or separate? How are you connecting to your router, ethernet or WiFi? Are you getting an IP address assigned from your router to your device connected?

If this was a self install, many times they fail because the live Comcast signal feed is not connected at the tap on the pole / pedestal. You may need a tech out to connect you to the feed / run a coax cable drop line from the pole to the premises.
Please answer the question about the lights on your modem that .@CCAndrew has asked. This will definitively indicate whether there is a live feed or not. Everything else here is just speculation..
