Significant Issue With Internet Speeds

I just recently signed up with xfinity and had my router installed on 7/2/20. I am curently paying for 1,000 mbps internet, however I have not seen the speed exceed 30. It is frustrating knowing that I am paying for faster speeds and recieving less than advertised. 

 

I have completed the following:

 

1. Unplug and reset the router.

2. Check the network speed via Xfinity xFi Speed, my speed as of writing is 12.2 mbps.

 

Please advise on how to correct the issue and get up to the speeds I should be recieving. Thank you.
