I called XFinity to get a second IP address for my SB8200 modem but no one seemed to understand what I was requesting and one representative told me it would not work.
I understand that it has been done quite often if supported by the ISP, and I know my hardware can support. I say a post that indicated I should create my own post, so I created this one.
They are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !
