SB8200 Cable Modem
Is it possible to get another dynamic IP address for the second ethernet port on an SB8200 cable modem and activate the port? And if it possible how much would it be per month?
Than you

irst, check the "Rate Card" for your local area to see if that feature is even available anymore. Seems that it is being phased out;
https://www.xfinity.com/support/rate-card/
It's a PDF.
Scroll down to "Xfinity Internet" and look for "Additional IP Addresses".
If nothing is listed then it's likely to have been discontinued in your local market area.

Thank you for your response. If the second IP address is not available than the aggregation will not work either. I just don't want to spen $260 for an SBG8300 SurfBoard modem to replace my SG8200

I have an SB8200 that keeps getting deauthorized every Wednesday morning. Since I have my own wi-fi network and I am choosing to not use Comcast voice even though I am paying for the bundle, I suspect that there is a fraud detection program that is kicking me out. Anyone else having this problem? What can I do, other than calling in for a reauthorization every week to get Comcast from taking this action?
