Recently switched to gigabit speed plan, upgraded router, seeing ~30mbps on both wired and wifi
Hoping someone might be able to help me troubleshoot my issues here. I've chatted with support twice now and with Netgear support as well.
Being quarantined for the past couple months and working from home I decided to upgrade my internet.
Hoping to improve my connection I recently moved to a gigabit plan, and purchased a Nighthawk AC3200 cable modem (model C7800) and I have had disappointing speed results. I consistently see around 30 mbps downloads across multiple devices and on both wired and wireless connections. I also interestingly see upload speeds around 40mbps across most of my devices and on both wired and wireless. The speed is mostly consistent across both the 2.4 and 5g wifi speeds as well.
With Netgear support I have verified that the modem is in good order and did a factory reset, as well as checked the channels
Are there any other steps I can take to troubleshoot this issue? At this point I'm pretty confident that the issue is on Xfinity's end, but am willing to explore other troubleshooting processes.
