Re: Proof of throttling

In February, I consistently had speeds of 350 Mbps, my last check was 3/9/20. My next documented speed test was on 3/19/20 and my speed was  95 Mbps. Again, consistently, day or night, I get mid 90's.  I still get some bad periods late at night when it goes into the teens but otherwise,  not above 96, not below 94. That does not seem like it's the use in my neighborhood, it is more like I'm being throttled. I pay for Blast and would like a straight answer or a refund until Blast speeds are available again.

___________
How could you possibly know? Especially right around the time of more people being at home?

I believe that if it was my neighborhood/community/node demand, I would have ups and downs. I'd have higher speeds that I paid for as well of periods of heavy demand with slower speeds. I would expect that during the day- 8am to 5pm, I would see slowing due to high usage by students and adults working from home, but the speeds that  I've recorded on Speedtest are all 94-95Mbps, whether its 9am, 3pm, 2 am, weekdays, weekends. It's very even at the 94-95 range, just like my speeds were even at 350ish in February. Of course, my community could be gaslighting me.

You haven't been very specific about the nature of the problem. Is this over WiFi or Ethernet? Is this consistent over every device you attempt the speed test on? What equpiment do you have? What specific steps have you taken to isolate and troubleshoot the problem?

Rather than go over an extensive Q&A, please start with Internet Troubleshooting Tips.

I'm the culprit. I agreed with someone. I said I have had consistent speeds of 90-95MBPS for weeks, nothing over 100, nothing below 90, day or night. I have consistent neighbors. In February I had consistent speeds of 350Mbps. People are questioning me because I agreed with someone else.  I will assume that there is throttling goingon  and Comcast asks retirees to carry their water
