Re: No IPv6 only IPv4

I’m having the same issue with the Arris mAX pro w31. Their customer support is horrible. They keep saying it’s the ISP, even after I’ve told them I’m getting IPV6 through my Xfinity Gateway. Definitely gonna return this and try another AX router.

Yeah I had the same problem with Arris. I finally got a response from Tier 2 that basically stated this router doesnt support IPv6! I took it back and got another type of router and havent had a problem since!   See the reply from arris:

Thank you for contacting ARRIS Technical Support Center. We apologize for any inconveniences you've been having with your new mAX Router and we are happy to assist you.

We appreciate your feedback on the mAX router and are continuously looking to improve this product. We wanted to apologize that currently this router supports IPv6 on the WAN side but only IPv4 on the LAN side. It is on the roadmap for a future implementation but we cannot provide a set date. We apologize if this does not meet your network requirements, but should not have any affect on your internet connection or performance.

We also noticed that you were experiencing some connectivity issues with some cameras. Can you please let us know if any other devices are having this issue, or if the issue is isolated to those devices in particular. If it is just that one type of device, the cause may be a loss of signal due to some type of material or electronic interference. We may suggest relocating your main and satellite units in your home to optimize that mesh Wi-Fi coverage for best performance.

If you need immediate assistance or information on ARRIS products, please contact ARRIS Technical Support Center at 866-656-8646 or 866-757-3598. We are open 7 days a week 7am - 12am CST.

Argh!  Just got home after a week on vacation to find my Xfinity Router is now only giving out Ipv6 addresses and not IPv4.  Reboots/resets do not fix 😞@ComcastJohnN or @ComcastChe can you help? 🙂
