I have been having connecting troubles for the last 4 days. All I get from Xfinity is a generic message about a service outage in my area and it should be fixed by 3-26-20 after 4 pm. Since nothing has been done and I can’t get in touch with a human, I’m not confident that will happen. As a teacher trying to learn how to do remote learning is hard without internet.

Sounds like you'll need to wait for the outage to clear. In the meantime, as in that other person's thread, you can see if anything here applies;
