Printer won't connect to new modem

My brother printer won't connect to my modem.  It is showing that it is connected, but won't show up on my computer.  Is it now compatible?

And you followed the directions found in your printer manual to set it up?

I’m having the same problem. My modem was reciently swapped out to the new white modem, SB7, I believe. Everything worked fine except my wireless HP printer. My printer was showing an IP address starting with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx. IP addresses on the printer beginning with 169 indicates that the modem didn’t provide an IP address. I tried enabling a manual connection to a specific IP address both on the xfinity modem/router and my wireless printer. Still no luck. I’m at a standstill and my son is working from home and he needs this printer for what he does. It appears that Comcast has issues with the newer white modem connecting to printers. There must be a solution to correcting this problem. My HP wireless printer worked perfectly before the installation of this newer Comcast modem.  Please help!!!

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue (copy your post and paste it there). Thanks. Re-closing this year old dead thread that was improperly re-opened by the new forum software / platform. A known issue that is being worked on.
