Printer connectivity issues

My printer has stopped working (has been offline even though it shows as connected to my new xfinity network) since switching from AT&T to Xfinity.  I have deleted the HP softward and now I can't even install the software.  The printer is connected to the WiFi.  I am wondering there are security settings that are stopping the softward from downloading over the network

On your computer, go to your Control Panel (Windows) or System Preferences (MacOS) to the Printers tab and manually add the printer from there using the IP address of the printer since you can see it as connected to your network, or have your computer Search for it. .
