Port forwarding not working - Advanced Security disabled

I had successfully setup port forwarding through Xfinity.  I did not notice that it had stopped working sometime back in April.  None of the ports I have forwarded show as open from an external net scan.  I've tried removing everything and recreating, changing the DHCP range, setting permanent IP, disabling Advanced Security etc.  I want to be able to forward 1194 for VPN, ports for SSH etc. and nothing works.  What gives?!?!?
