Placement of xfi pods in 2,400-feet home with TECHNICOLOR CGM4140COM (XB6) router on one corner

I recently upgraded to a new xb6 router. Since the router is located in one of the house's corners where I do most of my work and cannot be placed anywhere else (too long to explain why) the signal I received on the opposite side of the house (where I do most of the streaming) was very weak (it went down from over 300 Mbps next to the router to just 20 (unstable) Mpbs in the most remote room. I placed one of the pods in that room but it doesn't seem to make any difference. The other two pods are at 20 feet intervals close to the center of the house. I know the router should be at the center, but I wonder if I could improve the range somehow leaving it there (I got better range with my previous setup placing the old modem in bridge mode and using an Asus Router and a Netgear extender).

Comcast just told me their worthless, overpriced pods only have a range of 5 meters or about 16 feet.
