Obtaining an additional IP address for a SB8200

I have searched through these forums and spent mulitple hours on the phones with support attempting to activate an additional IP address for my SB8200 modem.  Like many others on here the phone service was very little help as consultants would tell me they have never heard of my request and then suggesting that I get business service.  

 

I have reviewed the service and pricing card for my area and the option is not shown, however when utilizing the Xfinity chat service a rep did tell me it was available for my area for the cost of 4.95 and to contact the "advanced team" over the phone.   Calling did nothing at the time and this loop of contact this next person continued.

 

Does anyone know what can be done to add this function so I am able to utilize the full potential of my equipment?  My overall goal is to have a straight line IP address to my gaming systems and utilize the other to feed to my router and the rest of my home. 

 

I've seen that several other people have been able to get help on this same issue through the forum so I'm trying out of desperation! Thanks for anything you can do.

They are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !

Hi there. Thank you for your time and effort! We appreciate you posting and choosing this method of support. EG is right that we are phasing this service out, but it is still available in some areas. We do not have a hard date as to when it will be fully phased out. Either way, I can check to see if it's something we can add for you for the time being.
