During COVID my service was downgraded from 1000Mbps (Gigabit) to Internet Essentials because an auto-bill did not go through. When I brought my account back to current my up/down speeds did not revert to what they were previously.
I spent 2 hours on the phone today and finally got to an agent (the third one) who acknowledged the issue and confirmed that I was indeed set to 'Internet Essentials' speed at 25Mbps download. He said that he fixed the issue but it's now 2 hours later and I still am showing 25Mbps down speeds.
I can no longer get through to an agent and the automated service keeps telling me to reset my modem. I am a CCNA certified network engineer and this is extremely frustrating. How can I get this corrected? I need faster speeds for both work and home life. I am at my wits end.
