No internet

I am connected but I do not have any internet, what do I have to do to get it working? Called for Technical support & they put me on a call back list that was a week long and now I nor my children can finish out our last week of schooling!

Did the internet ever work or is this a new install?  Have you power cycled your modem/gateway/router?

Is the "Online" indicator light on the modem lit steadily ?
