New xfi router only has two ethernet ports!
Right off the bat I can tell this router works faster which is great but my old router used to have four ports and the new one only has 2 because I have three Computers for my home and office. Is there a new xfi router with 4 ethernet ports instead of just two?

You can use an ethernet switch if you need more ports;

Is there certain ones which are compatible or are they all? $14 a month to lease the equipment and now I need to buy an additional piece? Trying to go as cheap as possible since I would like to know who thought going from 4 to 2 was a good idea...

Any switch is compatible.

Basically, fewer and fewer people are using wired Ethernet. WiFi is too convenient, even for 'fixed location' devices like TV's and refrigerators.

And on the other hand, some people run it in bridge mode or need more than 4 connections and so they only use one port going into a router or switch anyway. So, I think there is no single "correct" number of ports.

And then there are those of us who prefer the reliability, the bandwidth, and security of Ethernet, as anyone who's plays an online FPS game, runs a NAS on their LAN, needs to download or upload many large files, or find their WiFI devices kicked off the LAN because of having too many at once, will tell you.
