Need additional IP address for SB8200
@ComcastMorgan We just purchased an Arris SB8200 modem and need a second IP address assigned. I see from many previous posts that you have helped people with this problem. However, I cannot figure out how to send you a PM to get the ball rolling. Any advice? Thanks!

You have to post first to have the PM capability to be activated. Unsolicited PM's are against Forum policy so you have to wait for an agent to request a PM from you. Check your Forum (Profile) My Settings->Preferences to see if Private Messenger is activated/checked.

FWIW,
First, check the "Rate Card" for your local area to see if that feature is even available anymore. Seems that it is being phased out;
https://www.xfinity.com/support/rate-card/
It's a PDF.
Scroll down to "Xfinity Internet" and look for "Additional IP Addresses".
If nothing is listed then it's likely to have been discontinued in your local market area.

Hi, DavidAshman!
Thank you for creating a post. If you're looking to hardwire a device to the second ethernet port on your modem, we can see if adding an additional IP address is something that is still available in your area. I saw that you sent me a PM, so I will be replying that shortly. Try and remember in the future though that we ask you to wait to send us a PM until we directly request one. Thanks!

I saw a few threads on this but it mostly ended with PMs. I would like to get a 2nd IP address to use both ethernet ports on my Arris. Other than sending me the rates pdf can someone help me get / buy the 2nd IP?

Thank you for your time, DavidAshman. Let us know if you need further assistance down the road.
For those of you requesting adding an additional IP address, please know that there is an additional cost for it each month and it's also something that is being phased out in all of our divisions. If you would like us to check if this is something still available to you, please create your own post and we will respond from there.
Thank you all!
