Need Help trying to address Constant T3 Timeouts

Hi,

 

I am trying to solve an issue with costant T3 timeouts. Most of the time my connection is fine, I am getting the speed that I am paying for (350 Mbps). However, I do experience random periods of slowness and when looking at the cablem modem information, the downstream channels are always going from locked to unlocked, it seems as though the modem is always reacquiring the downstream channels. Not sure if this is normal or not.

 

I am running a Netgear Nighthawk C7800 Modem/Router combo and I have a straight run of brand new coax from the entry point in my house to the cable modem with no splitters. See below for my modem information.

 

Any help with addressing this issue would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same issue. Turned out to be a bad cable line from the outside box to my house. Cables are buried in my neighborhood Had a tech run a new line and haven’t had a T3 issue since. Have someone check the line outside...all Comcast wanted to do was do a reset and blame my Netgear modem/router
